Metro Boomin

Metro Boomin (* 16. September 1993 in St. Louis, Missouri; eigentlich Leland Tyler Wayne), auch Young Metro, Metro Beatz, Lil Metro oder Metro, ist ein US-amerikanischer Musikproduzent, DJ und Songwriter.

Leben

Metro Boomin erlangte seinen Bekanntheitsgrad durch das Produzieren von Beats und Instrumentals für prominente Rapper wie Travis Scott, Future, Young Thug, Drake, Gucci Mane und Kanye West.

Mit seiner Single Metropolis erreichte er Platz 30 in den amerikanischen Charts.

2017 gründete er sein eigenes Label Boominati Worldwide. Im Juli produzierte er zusammen mit dem kanadischen Rapper Nav das Mixtape Perfect Timing. Am 31. Oktober veröffentlichte Metro Boomin zusammen mit den Rappern 21 Savage und Offset (Migos) das Album Without Warning.

Am 2. November 2018 veröffentlichte Metro Boomin sein drittes Studioalbum Not All Heroes Wear Capes. Die Features sind weiterhin bekannte Rapper wie 21 Savage, Travis Scott, Drake, Young Thug und Offset. Jedoch ist auch der kolumbianische Latin-Pop Sänger J Balvin als Feature auf dem Album vertreten.
